Please take notice that a public hearing will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Harmony Town Hall, 440 N. Hwy. 14, to consider the following application:

Application from Consigny, Andrews, Hemmings & Grant SC to change the zoning of .81 acres of the 4.04 acre parcel # 6-7-47.7 The parcel is currently zoned A-3. The request is to change .81 acres from A-3 to RR to correct problem with barn encroachment by taking a strip of land off of the A-3 4.04 acre parcel and adding the .81 acre to the adjoining RR lot. The Harmony Town Board will meet at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at the Harmony Town Hall, 440 N. Hwy. 14, Janesville.

This meeting will include discussion and possible action on voting ward redistricting, employee grievance procedures, emergency management procedures, building inspection fees, roadside brush cutting, Hwy 26 construction in 2012, semi-truck traffic on town roads, road sign standards, recycling consolidation grant and computer/software for the town. TOWN OF HARMONY
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that two public hearings will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Harmony at the meeting scheduled for Monday, June 6, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at the Harmony Town Hall, 440 N Highway 14, Janesville, WI. The purpose of these public hearings will be to hear public comment on the following:

1) Public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 1 – Zoning Ordinance relating to the prohibition of center pivot manure distribution systems in the Town of Harmony. 

2) Public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 3 concerning fires, burning and fire protection and Chapter 1 Zoning Ordinance relating to the regulation and control of outdoor furnaces by conditional use permit in the Town of Harmony including outdoor furnaces installed before March 16, 2006.

All persons having an interest in these proposed changes are encouraged to attend and offer their comments.

Board of Review

 

TOWN OF HARMONY NOTICE
BOARD OF REVIEW

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Review of the Town of Harmony will be called to order on Monday, May 16, 2011 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. at the Harmony Town Hall, 440 North Hwy. 14, Janesville, for the purpose of reviewing and examining the assessment roll of real estate property in the Town of Harmony, to correct all errors in the roll and to perform such other duties imposed by law.

Please be advised of the following requirements to appear before the Board of Review and procedural requirements if appearing before the Board:

No person shall be allowed to appear before the board of Review, to testify to the Board by telephone or to contest the amount of any assessment of real or personal property if the person has refused a reasonable written request by certified mail of the Assessor to view such property.

After the first meeting of the Board of Review and before the Boards final adjournment, no person who is scheduled to appear before the Board of Review may contact, or provide information to, a member of the Board about the persons objection except at a session of the Board. 

No person may appear before the Board of Review, testify to the Board by telephone or contest the amount of assessment unless, at least 48 hours before the first meeting of the Board or at least 48 hours before the objection is heard. If the objection is allowed because the person has been granted a waiver of the 48-hour notice of an intent to file a written objection by appearing before the Board during the first two hours of the meeting and showing good cause for failure to meet the 48-hour notice requirement and files a written objection, that the person provides to the Clerk of the Board of Review notice as to whether the person will ask for removal of any Board members and, if so, which member will be removed and the persons reasonable estimate of the length of time that the hearing will take.
When appearing before the Board, the person shall specify, in writing, the persons estimate of the value of the land and of the improvements that are the subject of the persons objection and specify the information that the person used to arrive at that estimate. 

No person may appear before the Board of Review, testify to the Board by telephone or object to a valuation; if that valuation was made by the Assessor or the Objector using the income method; unless the person supplies the Assessor all the information about income and expenses, as specified in the Assessors manual under Sec. 73.03(2a) of Wis. Statutes, that the Assessor requests. The information that is provided under this paragraph, unless a court determined that it is inaccurate, is not subject to the right of inspection and copying under Sec. 19.35(1) of Wis. Statutes.

The Board shall hear upon oath, by telephone, all ill or disabled persons who present to the Board a letter from a physician, surgeon or osteopath that confirms their illness or disability. No other persons may testify by telephone.
