TOWN OF HARMONY
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Harmony at the meeting scheduled for Monday, May 7, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the Harmony Town Hall, 440 N Highway 14, Janesville, WI. The purpose of this public hearing will be to hear public comment on an ordinance which:
1) Creates Chapter 17 of the Town of Harmony Code of Ordinances, governing the process of land division and development in the Town.
2) Establishes regulations governing land transfers, lot combinations, public improvement design, construction, and maintenance standards for developments in the Town.
3) Permit the Town Broad to delegate its powers to the Rock County Planning, Economic & Community Development Agency and establishes penalties for violation of the ordinance.
4) Amends Chapter 1 of the Town’s Code of Ordinances: Revising and expanding the requirement for issuing a Zoning Permit to permit review and control of the development of environmentally sensitive areas, cultural resources, productive agricultural and woodlands in the Town
