TOWN OF HARMONY NEWS
The Harmony Town Board will meet at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Harmony Town Hall, 440 N. Hwy. 14, Janesville.
This meeting will include discussion and possible action on the Memorandum of Agreement with Rock County concerning the new County Land Division Ordinance, referendum to change town levy for tax collection, the county use of M-H Townline Road as a haul route for materials for the County Rd M project, reducing the speed limit on Bingham Road from Hwy 26 to Henke to 45 mph, road right-of-ways and front setbacks for town roads, compensation for mowing park lane in Starview Heights, Planning & Zoning Committee Chair appointment, town attorney retainer agreement , and county tax collection fee.
Regular items on the agenda include approval of bills, reports from the treasurer, building inspector and zoning officer, and upcoming events.
A quorum of the Planning and Zoning Committee may attend this meeting for information gathering purposes.
The Board of Review will meet at 6:55 p.m.(preceding the June 4th Town Board meeting) to meet the Wis. Statute requirement for the Board of Review to meet during the 30 day period beginning on the 2nd Monday of May. The Board of Review will adjourn to at a later date when the assessment roll is complete.

Town of Harmony residents are invited to the E-cycling event on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Town of Harmony Town Hall Parking Lot, 440 N Highway 14, Janesville. Electronic items that can be recycled include: TVs, computers, printers, DVD players, VCRs, Cell Phones. These items are banned from Wisconsin landfills and incinerators as of September 1, 2010.
